Banana Phone Z
Sunday, July 20th, 2008Ever heard of a music video before? Sure you have. But online, ‘music video’ takes on an all new connotation.
When speaking of a music video you’ll usually add an ‘a’ on the front to create an AMV, or animated music video. These are videos that set music to cartoons, generally Japanese in origin, that weren’t originally meant for that music. Anime fans make these videos all the time, and quite often they do it to make fun of both the song and the show.
Ever heard of Dragon Ball Z before? If you’re a kid, probably. And if you’re an adult, yes, probably too. It’s been popular in Japan for close to two decades now and for close to a decade in North America. So it was only a matter of time before somebody attached this popular show to a popular song, the ever-evil “Banana Phone”.
Here’s the result. Dragon Ball Z characters singing and dancing to “Banana Phone”. Banana Phone Z. Prepare to be scared.
